New Schumacher Chiang Mai Dragon Colorways for 2014: Ebony, Smoke, and Jade

Have you heard? Schumacher has just released three new colorways of their iconic Chiang Mai Dragon fabric.

First, we have Ebony. The vibrant accent colors really pop off the black background.

For those who love the movement of the Chiang Mai pattern but want to keep things neutral color-wise, we now have a “grayscale” version – Smoke!

And for those of us who can’t get enough of green, the color of spring (which is finally here in the Midwest, although it did snow earlier this week), there is Jade. Green and pink are so preppy together, don’t you think?

I found out about the new colorways a couple weeks ago from my favorite high-end fabric vendor, Jane from TwentyOne7.com. It’s not often that you order from an online company and the owner is the one calling you or emailing you to follow up on your order, or giving you a heads up about new products coming out. Her customer service is amazing! (Update: I almost forgot to mention that her prices are better than any other online company I've found on high-end fabrics. Great service, and great prices to boot!)

For anyone who isn’t able to purchase “to the trade,” Jane can get you most any high-end fabric that you’re looking for, even if it’s not listed on her website. Just tell her I sent you!

I can’t wait until I get my hot little hands on the new Chiang Mai Dragon colorways so I can whip up some pillow covers and add them to my Etsy shop! If you’d like me to put you on the waiting list for a pillow cover, let me know.

Or, if the classic Alabaster colorway still floats your boat, you can purchase it from Stuck on Hue today!

  1. Oooh! I love the ebony and jade! Gorgeous - I honestly can't get enough of this fabric. I don't think I'll ever tire of it, no matter how ubiquitous it becomes, it is just THAT beautiful. xxx

  2. Is it just the photos or have the new color ways lost the orange/coral/red hues that the previous color ways had. Look age red oranges shown on the alabaster pillow that you feature. The ebony and jade seem much more heavy on the pinks? Has anyone seen them in person?

    1. I sell each of the colorways in my Etsy shop. The Alabaster photo above is actually way too saturated. It's my own photo, but I need to retake it. The reds do not look orange in real life.

As far as the new colorways Jade and Ebony, there is more pink and less red overall They are gorgeous!
